Terms of Service
Last updated: 25 September 2026
Hey, ya WYRDO. These terms cover everything WYRDO: our store at wyrdo.com, the daily WYRDO game (the iOS and Android app and play.wyrdo.com), and our referral, unlock and offer programs. By using any of it, you agree to these terms, and the game asks you to agree to them when you create an account. If you don't agree, no hard feelings, but please don't use WYRDO.
We've written these as clearly as we can. If something doesn't make sense, email us. We're real people. Sections 4 to 14 are about the game and our programs, sections 15 to 19 are about buying from the store, and the rest cover everything.
How we handle your personal information is in our Privacy Policy. Buying from us is also covered by our Refund & Returns Policy, Shipping Policy and Cancellations Policy.
1. Who we are
WYRDO is an Australian party game brand run by WYRDO Pty Ltd (ABN 18 612 282 907), PO Box 184, Balmain NSW 2041, Australia. You can reach us at hey@wyrdo.com. “We”, “us” and “our” mean WYRDO. “You” means whoever is using the store, playing the game or taking part in a program.
2. Your consumer rights come first
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that can't be excluded. If you live outside Australia, you also keep the mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in. Where these terms seem to say otherwise, the law wins.
3. Age
- The WYRDO game is for players aged 16 and over. Its questions can be crude, gross and dark. If we find out someone under 16 has an account, we'll close it.
- To buy from the store, you must be 18 or over, or have your parent's or guardian's permission.
- Some WYRDO products contain adult themes and are for players aged 18 and over. By buying one, you confirm you're 18 or older and aren't buying it for a minor.
4. Playing the game
- The game is free. There are no in-app purchases.
- Every day there's a new question. You get one answer per question, per account or device, and your answer is final once you submit it. You'll see the results after you answer.
- You can play without an account, as a guest. If you create an account, give us an email address you control, keep your sign-in to yourself, and don't use anyone else's account. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
- We're always changing the game. Features, questions and results can change, and we may pause or stop parts of it. If we ever shut the game down, we'll try to give you reasonable notice first.
5. About our questions
Every WYRDO question is a hypothetical. Some are crude, some are gross, some are dark, and most are ridiculous. They're there to make you laugh, argue, and see things from someone else's side. They're not advice, not statements of fact, and not things we think anyone should actually do. Please don't try them at home.
When a question mentions a real person, brand or place, it's a joke or a hypothetical, not a claim about them and not an endorsement.
Some questions go there on purpose, to put you in someone else's shoes or make you understand an argument you'd never make yourself. If one crosses a line for you, tell us at hey@wyrdo.com. We read everything.
WYRDO isn't for anyone who's easily offended, hates laughing, or would shame someone for thinking differently instead of celebrating it. By playing, you accept that some questions are meant to make you uncomfortable.
6. Play fair
WYRDO only works if the results are real. Don't use bots, scripts, extra accounts or extra devices to answer more than once or to push the results around, don't exploit bugs, and don't try to get into parts of WYRDO you're not meant to reach, or to interfere with how it runs. If you do, we may remove your answers and suspend or close your account.
7. Community rules
WYRDO celebrates the inner weirdo in all of us. It's meant to be weird, not cruel, and there is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive players. Do not post, send or name a group anything that:
- harasses, bullies, threatens or intimidates anyone;
- is hateful or demeaning towards people because of their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or age;
- sexualises minors in any way — we remove it, close the account and report it to the authorities;
- is sexually explicit, or shares anyone's intimate images;
- shares someone's personal information, like their address, phone number or private photos (doxxing);
- makes false claims about a real person;
- promotes terrorism or violent extremism, or encourages violence, suicide, self-harm, eating disorders, dangerous stunts or challenges, or anything illegal;
- impersonates someone else, or is spam, scams or advertising;
- infringes someone else's copyright, trade marks or other rights.
Rude, crude and gross is fine. That's the game. Aiming it at a real person isn't.
8. Reporting, blocking and moderation
- Report anything that breaks these rules using the Report option on the comment or message, or by emailing hey@wyrdo.com.
- Block a player from their comment, from group chat, or from your friends list. You won't see each other's content, and they can't invite you to games or nudge you. You can unblock them in Settings.
- We aim to review reports within 24 hours, and we remove content that breaks these rules and deal with the account behind it. We may warn, suspend or permanently ban an account, without notice when someone breaks these rules. We may also use automatic filters that stop some words and content from being posted.
- We follow Australia's Online Safety Act, and we act on notices from the eSafety Commissioner and requests from the police. In Australia, if we haven't dealt with serious online abuse, image-based abuse or illegal content, you can also report it to the eSafety Commissioner at esafety.gov.au/report.
- Complaints. Use Report, or email hey@wyrdo.com, if you think something on WYRDO is illegal or harmful to under-18s, if we removed your content or restricted your account and you think we got it wrong, or if you think we're not following these rules or the UK Online Safety Act. We'll confirm we've got it, tell you roughly how long it'll take, and tell you what we decided. If we got it wrong, we'll put it back. For removals and account decisions, please get in touch within 30 days.
9. What you post in the game
Your comments, chat messages, reactions and group names are your content, and you still own them. You give us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host and show them in the game for as long as they're there.
The comments you add to your answers go further. Everyone who plays can see them: with the global results they're shown without your name, and your friends see your name. By posting a comment, you also give us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual and irrevocable licence to copy, edit, adapt, publish and share it anywhere we promote WYRDO: our social media, ads, website, emails and products (yes, even on a card). The people who help us make and promote WYRDO can do the same, and the licence moves with WYRDO if the business is ever sold.
- Group chat stays in the group. We never feature your group chat messages, reactions or group names outside the game.
- We never put your name or display name on a comment we feature outside the game.
- We might shorten a comment, fix the spelling, or put it next to other content. You agree we can do that, and use it without naming you, even where that would otherwise go against your moral rights as its author.
- If you delete a comment or your account, we stop showing it in the game and won't start new uses of it, but posts, ads and products that already use it can stay.
- The game's results, stats and totals belong to us, including your answers once they're counted. Expect to see “71% of WYRDOs would rather…” all over our socials.
10. Stuff you send us
This covers anything you send us directly: question ideas, feedback, and the posts, links and footage you send to earn an unlock or a free product.
- It becomes ours. Question ideas and feedback become ours, including the copyright, as soon as you send them. Footage and files you send for an unlock or free product become ours when we accept your claim. If we don't accept it, it stays yours and we won't use it. Either way, you can keep sharing your own footage on your own accounts. Once it's ours, we can use it, change it and publish it anywhere, for free and forever, and we don't have to credit you. You agree to this when you create an account, and if you send us something without one, the form says so right by the Send button. If the transfer doesn't work for any reason, you instead give us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual and irrevocable licence to do all of that, and you'll sign anything we reasonably need to make it official.
- Posts on your own accounts stay yours. For a post you've published on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube or anywhere else, you give us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual and irrevocable licence to share, repost, embed, download, edit and use it in our marketing.
- It's yours to give. You promise you made it, or have the right to give it to us, and that it doesn't include anyone else's work, logos or content that you don't have the rights to. Music from a platform's own library is fine on your own posts; if footage you send us has music in it, we may remove or replace the sound.
- Everyone in it said yes. By sending it, you promise that everyone clearly featured in it has agreed to WYRDO using it and, for anyone under 18, that their parent or guardian has agreed too. Strangers in the background don't count: we'll blur or crop them. We rely on your promise. We won't put anyone who looks under 18 in our ads unless their parent or guardian has told us it's OK. If someone didn't agree after all, we'll take the content down as soon as we find out, and you're responsible for any claim that comes from a promise that wasn't true.
- In it and want out? Anyone who appears in footage someone sent us can ask us to take it down. Email hey@wyrdo.com and we'll remove it from our own channels and stop using it in anything new.
- No extra payment. Apart from any reward the program offers, you won't be paid for what you send us, and we don't have to use it.
- Your moral rights. You agree we can use it without naming you, edit it, cut it up and combine it with other content, even where that would otherwise go against your moral rights as its author.
11. Posting about WYRDO for a reward
If you post about WYRDO to earn an unlock, a code, a free product or any other reward, the law and most platforms treat that post as sponsored content.
- Label it clearly. Labelling your post is your job: add #ad (for example, “#ad, free deck from WYRDO”) or use the platform's paid-partnership tag, and follow the platform's rules and the law where you live. You write, post and control your post; we don't.
- No label, no reward. We check posts before we reward them. We won't reward a post that isn't clearly labelled, and if we spot one, we'll ask you to label it or take it down.
- Say what you actually think. We never ask for a positive review, and we don't reward good reviews over honest ones.
- Don't buy views, likes or followers, and don't pretend to be someone you're not. Bought or fake reach doesn't count.
- We can refuse or cancel a reward for a post that isn't genuine or breaks these terms.
12. Unlocks, referrals and offers
Sometimes we give out codes and free stuff: a free expansion pack with a pre-order, a referral code with your base game, or an unlock for Toxic & Taboos. How each one works is explained where you find it, whether that's the product page, the game or an email. These rules apply to all of them, unless the offer itself says otherwise.
- One each. Each code or reward is for one person and can be used once, and you can use one code per order. A referral code works for up to three different people, once each, with a WYRDO base game in the cart. A friend's referral code and your pre-order code both get you the same free expansion pack, so use your mate's code and they get the credit.
- No self-referrals. Using your own referral code, or making extra accounts or email addresses to use it, doesn't count.
- Friends, not the whole internet. Share your referral code with friends and on your own social accounts. Don't post it on coupon, deal or cashback sites, and don't use it in paid ads.
- No cash. Codes and rewards have no cash value, can't be swapped for cash, and can't be sold or transferred.
- Expiry. Codes expire on the date stated with the offer, if there is one.
- We check every claim, fairly. Footage qualifies if it's clear, shows WYRDO being played, and everyone in it agreed. Views count if they're real. Whether you said nice things about us doesn't come into it. If a claim doesn't qualify, we'll tell you why.
- Who can take part. Anyone aged 16 or over. If you're under 18, you promise a parent or guardian is OK with it. You must be 18 or over to get an 18+ product as a reward. Free products ship to Australian addresses only, while we only ship within Australia.
- Cheating voids it. We can cancel codes and rewards obtained by cheating, fraud, extra accounts, fake views, or by ordering and then cancelling just to trigger a reward. If we send a code by mistake, we can cancel it before it's used; if you've already used it on an order, we'll honour it or let you cancel that order for a full refund.
- Offers can end. We may change or end any offer or program. If we do, we'll still honour codes we've sent and rewards you've already earned (like a referral whose third friend has already bought, or a claim you sent before we announced the end), unless they were obtained by cheating.
13. Notifications and emails
The game sends emails that are part of how it works. Sign-in codes always come through, because you kind of need those. Friend nudges and group-game invites and results have a switch-off link at the bottom of every one, and you can turn them off in Settings. Our programs email you about your claims and codes. Push notifications are optional: you choose them, and you can switch each type off in Settings. We only send you marketing emails if you've opted in, and every one of them has an unsubscribe link.
14. Ending your account
You can stop playing any time, and delete your account in You → Settings → Delete account. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if we have to by law, or to protect other players. The sections that are meant to survive, like the ones about content and liability, keep applying after your account is closed.
15. Placing an order
By placing an order, you confirm that the information you give us, including your name, address and payment details, is accurate and complete, and that you're allowed to use the payment method. We may refuse or cancel an order, for example if we suspect fraud, there's a pricing error, or the product sells out before we process your order. If we cancel your order, you'll get a full refund. No drama.
16. Pricing and payment
Prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST where it applies. Prices can change, but a change won't affect an order we've already confirmed. Payment is processed securely at checkout through Shopify. We never see or store your full card details.
17. Pre-orders
Pre-orders are charged in full when you order, and ship when the product is released. You can cancel a pre-order any time before it's dispatched for a full refund. How that works, and what happens if a release is delayed, is in our Cancellations Policy.
18. Shipping, returns and refunds
We currently ship within Australia only. Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees; see our Shipping Policy for the details. We don't accept change-of-mind returns. If something is faulty, damaged or not as described, our Refund & Returns Policy has you covered, and it forms part of these terms.
19. Product information
We do our best to make sure product descriptions, images and prices are accurate. If we get something wrong, tell us and we'll fix it. If a product isn't as described, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply.
20. Intellectual property
The WYRDO name, logo, games, questions, card designs, app, copy, mechanics and general weirdness belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-commercial, non-transferable licence to use the app and the website for their intended purpose. You can't copy, reproduce, sell or reuse any of it without our written permission. Sharing your results with friends is, of course, encouraged.
Think something on WYRDO uses your work without permission? Email hey@wyrdo.com with the details, and we'll look into it and take it down if we should.
21. The app stores
If you got the app from Apple's App Store or Google Play, their terms also apply to your use of the app. These terms are between you and WYRDO, not Apple or Google. We, not Apple or Google, are responsible for the app, its support and maintenance, and any claims about it, including product liability, legal or regulatory claims, and claims that it infringes someone's intellectual property. If the app fails to meet a warranty that applies to it, you can tell Apple, and Apple will refund any purchase price (the app is free); beyond that, Apple has no warranty obligation for the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and can enforce them against you as they relate to the app. By using the app, you confirm you're not in a country subject to a US Government embargo, and you're not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
22. Liability
The game is provided free, “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we exclude all implied warranties, and we aren't liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for losing data, answers or streaks because of an outage or a bug. If a bug eats a code you've earned, tell us and we'll sort you out with a new one. For anything you buy from us, you have the remedies in our Refund & Returns Policy and under the Australian Consumer Law. None of this limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that can't be excluded, and it doesn't limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
23. Other sites
WYRDO links to other sites and apps, like social media and the app stores. We aren't responsible for their content or how they handle your information, so follow links at your own judgement.
24. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts of New South Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you're a consumer living in another country, you can also rely on the mandatory laws of your country and bring a claim in its courts.
25. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be here, with the date it was last updated at the top. If a change is significant, we'll also tell you, for example in the game or by email. If you keep using WYRDO after a change takes effect, the updated terms apply. Changes don't affect an order you've already placed or a reward you've already earned: those stay on the terms that applied at the time.
